The house on McClure Circle is occupied by two black students who attend Morehead State University. Morehead police have opened a vandalism case.

In response, Morehead Mayor Jim Tom Trent and Morehead State President Jay Morgan issued a joint statement.

“We strongly condemn this hateful act,” the statement says. “We ask others to join us in condemning not on this act, but all such acts of hate, bigotry and intolerance. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our residents and students and will work tirelessly to bring the perpetrator of this senseless act to justice.”
