Officials from Lunchables packaged meals recently surprised Lexington’s Liberty Elementary school with over 700 meal packs.

Veteran educator and former Liberty Elementary school principal Gerry Brooks, who posts comedic videos on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, shared the struggle of helping his kindergartners open what feels like an endless amount of Lunchables packs during the first week of school, according to Samantha Mills, associate director of brand communications at Lunchables.

“I did a video about how difficult it was to do lunch duty when there were 45 kindergartners .... opening Lunchables,” Brooks told the Herald-Leader. Brooks started making comedic videos a few years ago when he was principal at Liberty Elementary.

A video about Lunchables he completed three years ago went viral with 159,000 views. Brooks did another on Lunchables 12 months ago. He said he had posted several videos on Lunchables.

In response, Lunchables surprised Brooks and the students with over 700 packages of Lunchables to practice opening and enjoy for lunch, Lunchables said. Brooks said that was in late September.

Brooks told the Herald-Leader Tuesday that he is currently an administrator substituting in the Fayette County school district when he is needed, but “I’m pretty much traveling full-time speaking at districts and conferences,” he said.
