The Biden administration released its student loan forgiveness application this week, opening the door for debt forgiveness across the country.

Student loan borrowers eligible for up to $10,000 of debt relief, and Pell Grant recipients are eligible for up to $20,000 of debt relief. The short application is relatively simple, with only basic information about the loan borrower needed.

The application for loan forgiveness will remain open until Dec. 31, 2023.

The Herald-Leader is working to answer questions about the student loan forgiveness process from its readers. Submit your questions here, and they may be answered in a future story.
