Fayette County Public Schools closed Friday, district’s first snow day of the year

Due to icy road conditions, all Fayette County Public Schools and offices are closed Friday.

“Please stay safe and warm,” district officials said in a message to the families.

District spokeswoman Lisa Deffendall said it is the first snow day of the 2022-2023 school year.

There will be no non-traditional learning or NTI in Fayette County.

Woodford County Schools is having an NTI day, that district’s website said.
