Fayette County Public Schools bus involved in crash, Lexington police say

A Fayette County Public Schools bus was involved in a minor wreck Wednesday morning, according to Lexington police.

The collision happened around 7 a.m. on Jane Street. Lt. Samantha Moore with the Lexington Police Department said 12 students were on board when the wreck occurred, but no one was injured.

It’s unknown if the driver of the bus or the driver of other vehicle were at fault in the incident, according to Moore. The wreck was under investigation Wednesday afternoon.

It’s the second collision involving a school bus to happen on Jane Street this month. The first time, a bus headed to Harrison Elementary School clipped a vehicle with its bumper.

Twelve students were on the bus then as well, but no one was hurt.
