A Jackson County Middle School teacher has been suspended while allegations are investigated, principal Bradley Kerby told families in a Wednesday letter posted on the district’s Facebook page.

Kerby said the suspension is pending “a complete and thorough investigation.”

The teacher, he said, was suspended Tuesday.

“While I cannot comment on the specifics of an ongoing investigation, I can say that law enforcement is not involved in the investigation at this time,” Kerby told the Herald-Leader Friday,

Jackson County Superintendent Kellis Smith did not immediately respond to a telephone call and an e-mail asking for a response.
