Gregory Brenner, a data analyst, has withdrawn from the Third District Fayette School Board race.

Kathleen “Penny” Christian, Danny Anthony Everett, and Isaac Sebourn remain in the race.

“After discussing with my family and lots of consideration, I am announcing the withdrawal of my candidacy for School Board District 3 in Fayette County and endorsing Isaac Sebourn,” said Brenner. “I have met with Isaac and I believe he will provide the needed accountability, leadership, and integrity that is needed on the school board. Isaac is a devoted husband and father of three children that attend public schools in Fayette County.”

Two other Fayette school board seats, in addition to District 3, are contested in the November 5, 2024 election. Betsy Rutherford opposes incumbent Amy Green in District 5. In the 1st District, Monica Mundy is running against incumbent Marilyn Clark.
