A Montgomery County teacher has been suspended with pay while district officials investigate allegations that the teacher commented “to one specific student about shooting,” the superintendent said.

“We were made aware on Friday, October 4, 2024 of a teacher who allegedly made a comment to one specific student about shooting,” Superintendent Matt Thompson told the Herald-Leader Tuesday.

“We have no tolerance for comments like this even if made in jest. The teacher was immediately suspended with pay while we investigate,” he said.
