Fayette County Public Schools officials on Thursday announced Eric Neely will be the new principal at Bryan Station Middle School beginning July 1.

With 12 years of experience in education, Neely brings a dynamic and student-centered approach to school leadership, officials said in a news release.

Neely’s desire to create meaningful learning experiences and his passion for building collaborative communities make him an ideal fit, the news release said.

Neely now serves as academy coach at Bryan Station High School.

He has a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish and a master’s in education from the University of Kentucky, and an education specialist degree in School Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University.

Bryan Station Middle’s current principal, Robin Ghant, is retiring, said district spokesperson Dia Davidson-Smith.
