Midway College signs lease for pharmacy space

Midway College has signed an agreement to lease space for a pharmacy school from Big Sandy Community and Technical College's Mayo campus.

In a document dated April 7 that the schools released last week, Midway agreed to pay the Paintsville school $8,119 a month for 18,629 square feet from Jan. 30, 2011, to Dec. 31, 2013.

The pharmacy school, a four-year doctoral program, is working to enroll its first class to start in August 2011, school officials said. Midway has said leasing from Big Sandy is temporary, and it is looking for a permanent home in Paintsville, but no site has been chosen yet.
