Midway College pharmacy school gets $100,000 donation

Paintsville's private Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center has donated $100,000 to Midway College for its new pharmacy school. A laboratory at the school will be named in honor of the hospital, Midway College officials said in a news release.

The donation is one of the first to be part of a $2 million fund-raising campaign for capital expenses.

Midway College announced the school in January and began operating under a lease with Big Sandy Community and Technical College's Paintsville campus a few months later. Midway College expects to announce a permanent site in the fall, according to the press release.
