A plumbing problem prompted Garrard County Public Schools to remain closed Wednesday.
Superintendent Paul Mullins said a frozen wastewater pipe at Camp Dick Robinson Elementary School made it impossible to use bathrooms at the school.
Garrard schools, which have been closed during the recent cold snap, had planned to operate on a one-hour delay Wednesday. But because of the plumbing problem, all schools were closed for the day, Mullins said.
"In our system, if we close one, we really have to close them all," he said.
Mullins said he expects that the Garrard system will resume normal operations Thursday.
