Fayette County Public Schools are closed Tuesday because of inclement weather, officials said.

Here's the notice: In light of poor road conditions on side streets and in neighborhoods throughout our community, all FCPS Schools will be closed Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Schools will not be open for regular business. Some after-school programs may offer child care services at school – check with your individual program for details. All afternoon and evening activities, including night school, are canceled. That also means there will be no ACT testing for juniors tomorrow, so our students will be taking the ACT on March 18, which is the statewide makeup date. As of tomorrow, we will have missed 13 days due to winter weather this season. We are waiting to see what the next few weeks of winter bring before making any announcements about make-up days.
