Kentucky Deputy Athletics Director DeWayne Peevy is one of three finalists under consideration to replace the retiring George O’Leary as athletics director at Central Florida, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

Peevy, a close confidant of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari, will interview for the position Monday in Chicago, the newspaper reported. Kentucky plays Duke in Chicago on Tuesday.

Peevy came to UK from the Southeastern Conference office in 2008. He was promoted to deputy athletics director in 2013.

Eric Lindsey, UK’s associate director of media relations, said the school had no comment on the Orlando Sentinel’s report.
