UK law school to host conference on election law

The University of Kentucky College of Law will host a daylong conference Friday on election law.

“An Elective Perspective: Judicial Regulation of Politics in an Election Year,” will feature five panels of discussions with legal scholars from around the country and local attorneys. Topics will include voter identification laws, gerrymandering, referendum initiatives, election litigation and campaign finance. Most events will take place in the College of Law courtroom.

Secretary of State Alison Lundergun Grimes will give the keynote address at 9:10 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. A complete schedule can be found here.
