Mickey and pals to the rescue: Disney’s Bedtime Hotline returns to help kids sleep

Can’t get your kid to sleep? Maybe Mickey Mouse can.

The coronavirus pandemic is keeping everyone awake. After being stuck at home all day, kids don’t want to calm down and get to bed. Disney has a solution.

For a limited time, Disney is bringing back the Disney Bedtime Hotline, the company said in a statement.

“Beginning today, fans can hear messages from favorite Disney characters before falling asleep – all from the comfort of home,” Disney said. “Parents, simply call 1-877-7-MICKEY for one of five special messages for your little ones from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck or Goofy.”

The service will start Friday and continue through April 30. It’s free to call in the U.S.

Many parents were thrilled they could call the hotline with their kids.

“My son is going to be so happy that Daisy and Minnie are options now!” one Facebook user said.

In the past, characters on the call have detailed their day and talked to the kids about how ready for bed they were, according to CNN. Then the character would suggest the child also get ready for bed, the news outlet reported.

The calls are recordings, so they won’t talk back to the child, CNN reported. But the company said in the statement they hope the calls can “bring a little pixie dust to fans and families everywhere.”
