Driver’s license plate ‘just didn’t seem right,’ Kentucky cops say. It was hand-drawn

A driver’s homemade license plate in Kentucky was pretty good — but not good enough to fool police.

Millersburg police noticed a license plate that “just didn’t seem right,” and pulled over the driver on Sept. 2, officials said in a news release posted to Facebook.

Police also shared a photo which shows the faux Kentucky license plate — featuring an outline of the state, the correct fonts and even a trademark symbol — hand-drawn in marker.

But the big giveaway? The artist missed one key detail.

“Pro Tip: Don’t forget to draw the registration sticker,” police joked.

The driver was found to have no insurance and to be driving on a suspended license, police say.

Millersburg is roughly 30 miles northeast of Lexington.
