House for sale in Texas seems zany on the outside but ridiculously cool on the inside
A home on the real estate market in San Antonio, Texas, for $550,000 has some folks on a sizzling social media page asking “huh?”
But it’s probably not about what you’d assume.
The four-bedroom, three-bath home has 1,908 square feet of space and is wisely referred to as “artistic” in the listing on Zillow. While the outside might be a tad unconventional with its entryway display composed of “Italian mosaic tiles,” the inside pops with the combination of snappy red against glossy alabaster and sleek onyx.
Though not everyone is impressed — not when it comes to the chicness of the interior, but about why it is making an appearance on a certain Facebook page in general. Fans on Zillow Gone Wild were a little confused by the fact that the home was posted on the popular page, one that is known for posting oddly “wild” homes.
“Honestly done very tasteful. I was expecting worse,” one person said.
“I don’t know if I’d be able to sleep under a double bladed fan in the main bedroom,” another observed.
“While it’s not my personal taste, this is a gorgeous home, very tastefully done,” someone noted. “Not ‘wild’ at all.”
“This is a very nice home,” another said. “I was expecting garish red everywhere. I’d only change the tub and entry.”
“Red is my favorite color,” one fan said. “I love the way they use it sparingly to just make a gentle splash. Only thing they could to make it more perfect is add some soft yellow in the mix.”
“I’m not big on modern style, but I do dig that floor with the records,” another said. “It’s very clever.”
“I was actually disappointed,” someone noted. “I kept waiting for the room that every wall, window, curtain, and piece of furniture and art was red…. The pops of red here is really tasteful.”
But, of course, there were a few who didn’t care much for the home.
“As someone who LOVES decor color and who has learned that too much of it can look like a clown puked in the house, I’d say they were TOO reserved in their use of color,” one person observed. “The red would look much better if it had other colors to play off of instead of soooo much white.”
“I feel like as soon as you cross the threshold, a barrel of Nickelodeon slime will fall on you,” another joked.
And finally...
“What in the Pee Wee’s Playhouse is going on here!”
