When it comes to high-end real estate, there’s “fancy” and then there’s “over-the-top,” and some homes walk that fine line, including this penthouse for sale in Seattle, Washington, for $2.9 million.
Standing at two-stories, this four-bedroom, four-bathroom home is a treat for the eyes when looking through the pictures on Zillow.com. High-end features are spread out all over its 3,700 square feet including:
Dramatic two-story library
Elevator
Dual kitchens
Grand piano in the primary suite
“Movie star wardrobe”
Media room
Four terraces
Wine cellar
Did we mention those sweeping water views?
While there appears to be something for everyone hidden in this home, fans on the popular social media page Zillow Gone Wild had more questions than answers when it came to the lavishness of the property.
“Who else came here for the library. Just me?” one person asked.
“This looks like a retirement home for elderly pimps,” someone said.
“Some rooms are fine, but a bed where you have to go down a couple stairs to go to the John at night?” someone commented. “That could be lethal.”
“Some of it is cool eccentric and other stuff just makes you think the house isn’t functional,” another noted. “Who puts a globe on limited bathroom counter space unless you have no intention to use the facility?”
“A grand piano in my bedroom?” someone asked. “That would make teaching lessons really uncomfortable.”
“I have questions. I don’t actually want answers to any of them, but I have questions,” another person said.
“Someone is a stage five clinger for Marilyn Monroe,” one person said, referencing the many photos of the actor around the house.
According to multiple comments on Zillow Gone Wild, the home was owned by Greg and Sunny Thompson of Greg Thompson Productions, a company that’s produced live entertainment including Bellevue’s Snowflake Lane.
Sunny played Marilyn Monroe “for more than 8 years in her one-woman show of ‘Forever Blonde,’” King 5 reported.
McClatchy News has reached out listing agent Sam Cunningham with Compass for more information, but has yet to hear back.
