Fifteen passengers were taken to a hospital when a pedal pub toppled over in Georgia, officials said.

The “electric bike” was making a turn near West Peachtree Street and 14th Street Northeast in Atlanta around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, when the cart tipped over, according to a news release from the Atlanta Police Department.

Everyone on the bike was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Fire and rescue officials told local news outlets WSBTV and FOX 5 that two passengers were in critical condition, three were seriously injured and 10 suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the bike, who was not named, is charged with DUI and a “business permit violation,” police said.

The pedal pub company did not immediately respond to a request for comment from McClatchy News on May 1.

A pedal pub is a “party bike” that takes passengers on a tour of a city’s bars, breweries and restaurants. Guests can bring their own beer and wine on the cart.

No other information about the crash had been released as of Sunday, May 1.
