A man accused of shooting another driver in a Taco Bell drive-thru line following an argument has been arrested, authorities in Santa Rosa, California, say.

Police had been seeking Brad James Adams, 27, of Santa Rosa in connection with the shooting at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, officers wrote in a news release.

Adams got into an argument with another driver behind him in line at the Taco Bell drive-thru and brandished a gun, police said.

He’s accused of pulling out of the drive-thru, then shooting the 22-year-old man, who was still in his vehicle, and speeding off, the release said.

The injured man called 911 from the drive-thru line to report he’d been shot, police said. He was left with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Officers later found the white 2005 F-150 pickup truck driven by Adams in a nearby parking lot, but he was not there, the release said. They found a handgun inside.

Police said they also searched his home but did not find Adams.

On Thursday, May 5, police in Brisbane, California, arrested Adams at the home of a family member, Santa Rosa police reported.

Adams faces a charge of attempted homicide, police said.

They ask that anyone with information call 707-528-5222 or 707-543-3590. Tips also can be le/f/t at https://www.srcity.org/CrimeTips.
