A man pulled out a fake gun on another at an Arizona gas station before he was fatally shot, police said.

Sergio Cruz, 31, was shot in the chest around 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 8, police said in a news release.

Police said Cruz confronted another man about a dispute with his loved one, then pointed a replica gun toward the man.

The man then shot Cruz with a real handgun, police said.

Cruz was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man stayed on the scene after the shooting, and no arrests have been made, police said.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
