Dog missing for months after crash reunited with Colorado family with help of drones
With a little help from drones, a dog was reunited with family after going missing months ago during a Colorado car accident, officials said.
The sheriff office’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems team deployed a drone in the area the Golden Retriever, Farah, was last seen during a “training mission with a humanitarian twist” on Sunday, Sept. 11, according to a Fremont County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
“Within minutes, deputies spotted her using the drone’s infrared camera,” the sheriff’s office said.
She was reunited with her family, the sheriff’s office said.
Farah’s family commented on the post, thanking them.
“She is such a huge part of our family,” one family member wrote. “It’s been a three month journey. Our hearts are full.”
Fremont County is about 150 miles southwest of Denver.
