A missing 78-year-old woman was found dead after she ran out of gas in Wyoming, authorities in Utah said.

Victoria Acoba was missing from Millcreek, Utah, since Oct. 19, according to a Silver Alert issued by the Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake.

She was driving a red Mazda and was spotted in Syracuse, Roy and Ogden, police said.

Her body was then found in Wyoming on Monday, Oct. 24, police said.

Acoba started walking in the cold after her car ran out of gas, and “due to weather conditions she did not survive,” police said.

“We are saddened at the outcome of this case. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends,” police said.

Millcreek is about 10 miles south of Salt Lake City.
