Police responding to reports of someone armed with a rifle at a Boston transit station uncovered a wretched hive of scum and villainy — more or less.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority officers found a man costumed as “Star Wars” bounty hunter Boba Fett at the station on Friday, April 7, the agency said on Twitter.

They had a chat with the cosplayer, determined the firearm was a replica and took his photo, which they posted on Twitter.

The incident took place at the MBTA Back Bay station on Dartmouth Street, which serves buses, trains and subways.

The armored Boba Fett tracked down Han Solo for crime lord Jabba the Hutt in the original “Star Wars” films. More recently he has reappeared in the Disney+ streaming series “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett.”
