A ‘modern twist’ on an iconic set of California houses lists in Los Angeles. See them

Anyone who has ever lived in Northern California — or were a fan of “Full House” and its Netfilx sequel, “Fuller House” — are well aware of San Francisco’s famous Painted Ladies, a set of pastel-colored homes on Steiner Street that sit in front of the city skyline.

Now, Los Angeles has its own take of “Postcard Row” — The Glass Ladies.

And the first of the trio is on the real estate market in Venice for $6.2 million.

“Named ‘The Glass Ladies,’ the collection is made up of three similar avant-garde, vertical, three story/rooftop properties, all with an incredible all-glass facade, offering a modern twist on San Francisco’s iconic Painted Ladies,” a news release from Compass said.

Developer and designer Alon Zakoot thinks the homes could become a new tourist attraction in Venice, much like their San Francisco counterpart.

The first home is called Lucia, Lady of Luxe and “she is modern; she is charismatic; she is filled with light,” the listing says about the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home.

“When it comes to high end one-of-a-kind custom homes, I love exploring a building’s personality, and take it quite literally,” Zakoot said in a news release. “When you visit a home, you should feel the presence of the space: inspired, livable, prestigious, and uniquely its own. The space should speak to you. As I build the homes and see them grow overtime, each house shows me their particular intricacies or unique qualities.”

Other features inside and outside the 4,200-square-foot house include:

  • Formal dining room

  • Chef’s kitchen

  • Bar

  • Indoor/outdoor lounge

  • Saltwater pool

  • Pajama room

  • Office

  • Balcony

  • Outdoor kitchen

“The Glass Ladies are effortlessly and iconically Venice, with each unique design matching the effervescent vibe and cultural landscape of this rejuvenated and beloved beach town in its own special way,” Los Angeles broker Sally Forster Jones of Compass said in a news release. “These three geometric beauties add to the fabric of a community that residents and visitors alike have adored for years. To experience them is to fall in love.”

The listing says the other two homes will hit the market soon.
