Man waiting for wife scratches winning lottery ticket in Missouri. ‘Amazing birthday’
One man’s day was made after popping into a Signal Food Store while waiting on his wife to get off work.
And it was no ordinary day either, an Oct. 12 Missouri Lottery news release said.
“It was actually on my birthday,” the player said, according to the release. “I went in and bought two tickets.”
The man called his wife after scratching the tickets and discovering he won $100,000 on a “$3,000,000 Spectacular” ticket. A $30 scratcher that players have won $46.3 million in prizes, according to the Missouri Lottery.
“She just goes, ‘You gotta be kidding me. You gotta be kidding me!’” he said, after his wife scanned the winning ticket on the Missouri Lottery app. “It was a pretty amazing birthday!”
The man wants to use the winnings to take a vacation with his family, according to the release.
The prize was won in Buffalo, which is about 35 miles north of Springfield.
