A winning lottery ticket worth $44 million is about to expire in Florida. Is it yours?
Months after a winning lottery ticket worth millions was sold in Florida, the prize remains unclaimed — and time is running out.
On June 14, a ticket sold in Kissimmee had all six numbers for the Lotto jackpot prize, according to a Nov. 20 news release from the Florida Lottery.
The winning numbers (09-13-15-46-51-52) meant the ticket was worth $44 million.
The ticket was sold at a Sunoco Express on North Orange Blossom Trail, lottery officials said.
“Players who may have purchased a Florida Lotto ticket at this retail location are encouraged to check their tickets from the June 14 drawing,” lottery officials said.
The ticket, now months old, will expire on Dec. 11 at midnight, according to the release.
Florida lottery tickets can be validated by any ticket vendor, but jackpot prizes must be claimed in-person at the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, officials said.
Kissimmee is about 20 miles south of Orlando.
