A lucky Powerball player’s win was “unprecedented” when they scored the $1.33 billion jackpot.

The winning ticket was sold at a Plaid Pantry convenience store at 6060 NE Columbia Boulevard in Portland, Oregon, for the Saturday, April 6, drawing, lottery officials said in a news release.

This player matched all five white balls 22, 27, 44, 52, 69 and the red Powerball 9. They have a cash option of $621 million.

They came forward to claim their big prize, but lottery officials said the public won’t know their identity just yet.

“We’re taking every precaution to verify the winner before awarding the prize money, which will take time,” Oregon Lottery Director Mike Wells said in the April 8 news release.

Wells said the win was “an unprecedented jackpot win for Oregon Lottery.”

The state’s previous record was set when a Powerball player hit the $340 million jackpot in 2005, lottery officials said.

This latest win is the fourth-largest jackpot in Powerball history, officials said.
