A newborn’s photo shoot has gone viral — but not because of the typical precious moments surrounding babies.

Instead, the days-old baby embraced his inner Ron Swanson in a photo shoot that would make the “Parks and Recreation” character proud.

In her May 15 Facebook post, Lauren Carson, the owner of Drawing in Light Photography, said she has never seen facial expressions that compare to the now-viral baby. The post has been shared 35,000 times with more than 19,000 comments as of Thursday, May 23.

Interviewed by WCPO and WKRC in Cincinnati, Carson said the newborn’s hilarious body language is nothing new to his mother.

“That’s just a normal face for him,” Carson told WCPO. “It wasn’t anything unusual that she had seen before, so I think she was glad we were able to document it.”

In addition to the Ron Swanson comparisons, some Facebook commenters drew their own conclusions for what made the baby so “grumpy.”

“He was born with a mortgage and 4 kids,” one person said.

“He’s finally retired from the DMV,” another commenter said.

Carson said in the Facebook post the baby was just 7 days old during the shoot. Despite his expressions, she called him “a sweet little snuggle bug!”

The baby’s family seems to be enjoying his newfound celebrity status.

“She thinks it’s amazing that he’s getting so much attention,” Carson told WKRC. “The baby’s older brother thinks it’s the coolest thing ever to have a famous baby brother in his house.”
