A Georgia Powerball player didn’t win the estimated $162 million jackpot, but still walked away with a sizable prize.

The player won $50,000 after matching four of five numbers and the red Powerball in the drawing Saturday, June 1, according to the Georgia Lottery.

The lucky ticket was sold at a Publix supermarket on Highway 20 in Conyers.

It comes a day after a Mega Millions ticket worth $10,000 was sold at a Publix in Sandy Springs ahead of the lottery game’s drawing on Friday, May 31.

The winning Powerball numbers drawn Saturday were 28, 38, 52, 54, 68 and red Powerball 8, according to the Powerball website. The Power Play option was 2X.

There were no $1 million winners, and the Powerball jackpot jumped to an estimated $171 million after no one won the grand prize, results show.

The next Powerball drawing is Monday, June 3.

Conyers is about a 20-mile drive east from downtown Atlanta.
