Christopher Reeve’s look-a-like son confirms he will honor dad’s legacy in a big way
Many remember Christopher Reeve as the actor who portrayed the superhero, Superman, from 1978 to 1987. Will Reeve, now 32, remembers him as his father.
Born in 1992 to Christopher and Dana Reeve, Will is Reeve’s third child.
By age 13, Will had tragically lost both of his parents. Now, he’s making a name for himself and honoring his father along the way.
In a quick interview with TMZ, Reeve confirmed the major way he’s honoring his father in the new “Superman” film set to premiere in 2025. The film is directed by friend James Dunn.
“I know the folks making the film, and they’ve been so kind to me and my family, and I had a free day so we made it [happen],” Will said. But when it comes to what his cameo entails, he was tight lipped.
“It was a really great experience; they were super friendly; it was quick, easy...I was actually more nervous doing that than I am whenever I’m on TV for my normal job [because] there was so many people around and I had to memorize one line, but still!”
Will admits he didn’t inherit his father’s acting chops but was excited to be a small part of the movie.
In 1995, Christopher suffered a broken neck after being thrown from a horse. The accident left him paralyzed from the neck down.
Christopher died in 2004, and his wife, Dana, soon followed following a battle with cancer in 2006.
“We shared a very deep bond in general, but sports was definitely a major component of our family bond,” Will said of his relationship with his father in 2015.
