A man in Texas died after police say he was hit and killed by an 18-wheeler.

Hector Reyna, 62, was identified as the man who was hit, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office said, according to KSAT.

Reyna was driving in San Antonio around 10:42 a.m. July 31 when he lost part of a load from a trailer, KENS reported.

He pulled over on the side of the road to pick up the load, and some trash cans rolled into the street, WOAI reported. An 18-wheeler stopped to allow Reyna to pick up the cans from the street, but another 18-wheeler swerved to avoid hitting the first truck and struck Reyna, police told the news outlet.

The driver of the 18-wheeler stopped to help, according to KENS. The driver is not facing charges as of July 31.
