Gambler visiting from Florida spends $2.88 on Las Vegas slot machine and hits jackpot
A woman made the trip to Las Vegas from Florida and tried her luck at a casino slot machine.
She ended up hitting the $15,587 jackpot.
The player from Winter Haven sat at a Dancing Drums slot machine July 18 at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, the hotel told McClatchy News in an Aug. 16 email.
She bet $2.88, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen.
Then a message appeared saying she had won the jackpot.
She’s not the only gambler who’s had some luck at Treasure Island — a pirate-themed hotel on the northern end of the Strip.
More recently, one person was playing the Super Wheel Spin slot machine Aug. 7 when they scored the jackpot, winning over $25,000, McClatchy News previously reported.
A lucky player from Texas put a few dollars into a slot machine on July 16 at the same casino and won $122,720.
