A Georgia lottery player was one number shy of the Powerball jackpot, but still won big.

Someone in Atlanta matched four numbers and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in the drawing on Saturday, Oct. 12, narrowly missing the estimated $371 million grand prize, according to the Georgia Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Chevron Food Mart on Chamblee Tucker Road, officials said.

The winning numbers were 5, 14, 20, 41, 57 and red Powerball 6, according to the lottery game’s website. The Power Play multiplier option was 3x.

There was a $2 million winner in Connecticut, and someone in Tennessee won $1 million after matching five numbers, but not the Powerball, results show.

The next Powerball drawing is Oct. 14 with an estimated $388 million jackpot.
