Man wanted by Interpol accused of killing girlfriend and dumping body in Georgia ditch
A man accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend and dumping her body in Georgia is also wanted internationally, authorities said.
The search is on for 49-year-old Roberto Dominguez Soto, who’s wanted by Interpol for firearm possession charges in Mexico, a spokesperson for the Roswell Police Department told McClatchy News.
Authorities in Georgia have now also issued an arrest warrant for murder against Soto following the discovery of 47-year-old Blanca Sauer’s body Christmas Eve, the City of Roswell said in a Dec. 26 news release.
The afternoon of Dec. 24, a passerby spotted a body in a ditch off the road, and officials found Sauer with at least one gunshot wound and pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.
Investigators said someone shot her before discarding her body and fleeing the scene. They identified her boyfriend as a suspect.
“He should be considered armed and dangerous,” police said.
Roswell is a suburb north of Atlanta. Sauer was from nearby Sandy Springs.
