Kroger is rolling out new summer ice cream flavors, and customers can try them for free.

To kick off the season, the grocery store chain plans to give away 92,000 free pints of Kroger-brand ice cream on Friday, June 20, according to a news release.

Ice cream lovers can claim their single-use digital coupon online starting at 12 p.m. ET. No purchase is required.

The one-day giveaway comes as Kroger launches its new Summer in a Pint collection featuring four new ice cream and sherbet flavors, the release said. They include:

  • Italian Style Summer Fizz: Blood-orange sherbet with popping candy clusters and a blood-orange ribbon.
  • Fireside Nights: A s’mores-inspired dessert made with toasted marshmallow ice cream and s’mores pieces.
  • Sandy Shores: Coconut ice cream with a “sweet and salty pretzel crunch” throughout.
  • Poolside Tan Lines: A swirl of vanilla bean, chocolate and coffee ice creams.

The new flavors are available in limited quantities, while supplies last.

“Last year, we were blown away by customer excitement for our free pint offer and this summer we are making it even sweeter,” Mike Murphy, group vice president of center store merchandising at Kroger, said in the news release.

The coupon is valid on any classic Kroger brand ice cream flavor, as well as the new summer flavors, according to Kroger. It can be redeemed at any Kroger family of stores and expires Friday, July 4.

The giveaway has a few limitations, however.

The free pint offer is valid in all U.S. states except California, Colorado, Louisiana, Tennessee and Nevada, the supermarket chain said.
