A dog in Texas is on the mend after multiple agencies stepped in to stop her from getting attacked while tied to a pole and helpless.

Felicity came into our care with multiple deep wounds all over her body; an unknown someone had failed her, but a whole team of people worked together to ensure she found safety,” Austin Pets Alive! said in a Sept. 15 Facebook post.

In a situation like Felicity’s, time is a priority, and her saviors seemed to understand that well.

“The Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) was first alerted to the scene. A gentle, golden-eyed pittie had been chained to a pole and multiple dogs were attacking her. Quickly after arrival, TCSO called for back up — an Animal Protection Officer arrived, and immediately rushed her to the emergency clinic,” the shelter said.

She was stabilized by the ER clinic crew and the next day was put back in the care of the shelter.

While Felicity is in a safe space, she isn’t out of the woods completely.
