Tell us how decisions by President Trump & Elon Musk are affecting you in Kentucky
It’s a confusing time as President Donald Trump’s administration has moved quickly to push a host of changes in the federal government from upping immigration enforcement, cutting the federal workforce, eliminating DEI programs and possibly changing the way the U.S. Department of Education operates.
The legality of some of those moves is still being fought in the courts.
But what does this wave of change mean for Kentucky?
We want to hear from you if you are directly affected by some of these changes including federal employees losing jobs, immigrants fighting deportation orders, the shrinking federal workforce and other issues.
Lost your job at a federal agency?
New medical challenges at a VA hospital?
Poor experiences at Mammoth Cave National Park or the Daniel Boone National Forest because of a lack of staff?
Tell us your story.

Herald-Leader reporter Beth Musgrave is tracking and explaining how the decisions being made in Washington D.C. by President Trump and Elon Musk are affecting people from Paducah to Pikeville.
“This is an important time in the history of our country and our commonwealth,” said Richard Green, executive editor of the Herald-Leader and kentucky.com.
“Decisions made in Washington are disrupting lives in Kentucky. Beth will help interpret the actions and executive orders and illuminate for readers their impact. And along the way, she’ll answer your questions.”
