FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Democratic Party has mailed out about 1,200 Christmas cards that feature Gov. Steve Beshear and his family.

For this year's Christmas cards, all Beshear family members are decked out in casual attire.

"Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season," say the cards that the state Democratic Party has paid for throughout Beshear's term as governor.

The card's photo this year shows the governor and his wife, Jane Beshear, seated in the center.

Surrounding them are their two sons, daughters-in-law and three grandchildren.

Son Andy and his wife, Britainy, have two children, Lila and Will, with them. Son Jeff and his wife, Emily, have a son, Nicholas, with them.

The cards carry the disclaimer, "Paid for by the Kentucky Democratic Party."

State Democratic Party Chairman Daniel Logsdon said the cards number about the same as in previous years.

No extras were sent out to promote Andy Beshear, who is running for state attorney general next year.
