Chafee salutes Obama for ‘historic breakthrough’

Former Rhode Island Governor and 2016 hopeful Lincoln Chafee sent out a brief message on social media about the nuclear deal Tuesday.

“I salute @POTUS Obama and Kerry in this historic breatkthrough. #Cuba and now #Iran, both good.--L #chafee2016,” he said on Twitter.

Chafee has called for improved relations with Tehran in the past and has advocated taking a similar approach to Iran as Nixon used with China, including mimicking his famous trip to Beijing in 1972.
