Republicans keep 54th House District seat in Casey and Boyle

Republicans held on to the 54th House District Tuesday night as Daniel B. Elliott defeated Democrat Bill Noelker. Both are Danville attorneys.

Key to Elliott’s win was a strong showing in Casey County, where in outdistanced Noelker 1,771 to 487. Noelker edged Elliott in Boyle County 2,553 to 2,504.

The district had been represented by Republican Mike Harmon, who was elected state auditor last November.
