Chelsea Clinton will be in Lexington on Friday at a public event for her mother’s campaign for president.

The daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will help open the Hillary for Kentucky Lexington office.

A news release said she will “talk about how her mom is the best candidate to break down the barriers holding families back and raise incomes for Kentucky families.”

She is expected to urge supporters and volunteers to get involved in the campaign for the Kentucky Democratic presidential nomination on May 17.

The event is to begin at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Hillary for Kentucky Lexington office at 1301 Winchester Road, Suite 37.

Anyone interested in attending the event can just show up.

Chelsea Clinton is to attend a private fundraiser at noon Friday at the Frankfort home of former Lt. Gov. Crit Luallen and her husband, Lynn Luallen.
