McConnell, Bevin co-chairs for Kentucky delegation to Republican National Convention
Kentucky delegates and alternates to the Republican National Convention elected United States Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin as co-chairmen for the state’s delegation at a meeting Saturday in Louisville. The pair will lead 46 delegate and 43 alternates as they head to Cleveland for the July convention, a news release said.
The delegation also elected members to serve on four committees at the convention: Mike Duncan and Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton, Committee on Credentials; state Sen. Ralph Alvarado and Kelly Knight, Committee on Rules and Order of Business; Nathan Haney and state Sen. Julie Raque Adams, Committee on Platform; and Mac Brown and KC Crosbie, Committee on Permanent Organization.
