Here are Lexington election results for mayor, council, sheriff and other races
Polls across Fayette County are closed and election workers now start the task of tabulating each ballot.
In Lexington, candidates across a variety of races are battling for offices like mayor, sheriff and circuit court judgeships, as well as council.
Herald-Leader reporters are tracking these races and will provide results throughout the night as they are available.
As of 7:30 p.m., the Fayette County Clerk’s office reported slowdowns in ballot counting due to the length of the ballot and technical difficulties. Results came in after 8 p.m., and 100% of precincts are reported below.
