Three injured after crash involving Whitley County Sheriff’s Department cruiser

Three people were injured after a Saturday crash involving a Whitley County Sheriff’s Department cruiser.

The crash happened on New Zion Church Road in Whitley County, near Williamsburg, according to WKYT, the Herald-Leader's reporting partner. The cruiser was coming around a curve, when a car going the opposite direction and in the wrong lane hit it, the TV station reported.

Two deputies in the cruiser, and a person in the car, had minor injuries, WKYT reported. Police told the TV station the driver of the car was cited for multiple offenses, including having no insurance.
