A fire that is being ruled suspicious by the Madisonville Police Department led to an explosion of fireworks at a firework stand early Thursday morning.

Video was captured by Randy Bolliger of a fire around 3:45 a.m. Thursday at the corner of South Main and East McLaughlin in Madisonville.

A large amount of fireworks exploded in the fire, leading to a show that spanned more than six minutes.

As police were investigating the fire, another fireworks stand also caught fire, according to 14 News. Madisonville Police are investigating the fires as possible arson.

No one was hurt in either fire, 14 News reported.

Only charred debris was left in the aftermath of the initial fire.

Alissa Riley responded to Kentucky Sports Radio's story on the firework explosion and said it was "more spectacular than Lexington's firework display," which some on social media said left a lot to be desired.
