A woman was struck on Georgetown Road. Now Lexington police are searching for witnesses.
A woman remains hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident late Monday.
And Lexington police are asking for the public’s help tracking down the car or cars that may have struck the pedestrian.
According to a news release, Lexington police were flagged down on Georgetown Road between Lima Drive and Keller Court about 8:52 p.m. An injured woman was found in the road.
Witnesses reported she was struck by a vehicle that had left the scene. According to the police, the vehicle is believed to be a red boxy-shaped vehicle.
The victim was possibly hit a second time by a black passenger vehicle after she was knocked down into the road, according to the release. “It is believed that the driver of the second vehicle was unaware they struck the victim,” the release said.
