Ohio man charged with murder in fatal Red River Gorge shooting
An Ohio man has been charged with murder after a fatal shooting in the Red River Gorge.
Troy Dunkelberger, 31, of West Chester, Ohio, is accused of shooting and killing Jarron Slayback, 31, of Cincinnati after a verbal dispute Wednesday night on Lakeside Drive in the Zoe community of Wolfe County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Dunkelberger and Slayback were arguing when Dunkelberger got a gun and shot Slayback, state police said.
The shooting happened outside a cabin, according to WKYT, the Herald-Leader’s reporting partner.
Dunkelberger is being held in the Three Forks Regional Jail.
