6-year-old Kentucky boy drowns in bathtub. Police investigating.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s office said it’s investigating after a 6 year-old boy appeared to have drowned in a bathtub in Laurel County.

The boy was found by his mother around 10 p.m. Tuesday in their home in a trailer park, which was just south of London, police said. She called emergency services, and the boy was pronounced dead by the Laurel County coroner’s office, police said.

There was an autopsy in Frankfort Wednesday, according to Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, but he said there doesn’t seem to be any reason for investigators to be suspicious at this time.

The case is still under investigation by Lt. Chris Edwards, the sheriff’s office said.
